It all started with my best friend’s wedding…

Yep, my best friend is the reason I ended up in the wonderful world of weddings, surrounded by sparkles and lace. Back in 2015, she’d got the ring, the date was set and now we needed THE dress! Hoping to find a beautiful wedding dress without blowing the budget, the search began…

Out first visit was to a small bridal shop and whilst there was a good selection to try on, the environment felt very worn out and not quite the special experience we’d hoped for.

Next up was an independent bridal outlet. We walked in and were confronted with rails upon rails of bridal gowns. One of the first comments from the assistant was “We have lots to choose from, some of them are a little bit old fashioned…” – insert face palm here! Selection made, the staff member told us to take them into the changing room (no help was offered in trying them on) which turned out to be an empty office with a table in it. No mirror, nowhere to hang anything and as each dress was tried on it became increasingly obvious there were lots of marks and flaws.

Finally we ended up in a “traditional” bridal boutique, with beautiful full priced wedding dresses and all the special touches and loveliness that come with them. A gorgeous boutique with helpful staff, a dress was found and fallen in love with… luckily it was on their sale rail!

Afterwards it really got me thinking why is there nowhere that combines lower prices, good quality and a private and personal experience? So from there Townhouse Bridal was born. I sourced some gorgeous gowns and had my first appointment based in my St Neots home, a townhouse of course, hence the name! The business blossomed to the point where I needed dedicated premises, so this exciting next step happened in 2017, where things continued to develop and I took the plunge and made bridalwear my full time job.

Fast forward to the present day and Townhouse Bridal is now bigger and better than ever, having moved to new premises on the outskirts of St Neots in January 2025. It’s private, spacious and has free dedicated parking right outside. It takes some people by surprise as it doesn’t look like a typical shop, but my business model never really has followed the norm!

Over the years I am extremely proud to have been recognised by several awards within the wedding industry and also to have received numerous five star reviews across Google, Facebook and various online wedding directories.

My ultimate aim has always been to make your experience a special one, with a relaxed environment and a beautiful selection of wedding dresses to choose from. Whether you’ve already been in to Townhouse Bridal or are yet to book an appointment, thank you for letting me be part of your wedding journey!
